For a long time, the Grand Prix in Baku was considered the favourite for the start of the 2020 Formula 1 season, but now the race seems to be put on the cancelled-list.

The reason for the (possible) cancellation is actually the same as in Monaco. The construction for the temporary route through the city is so complex that the organizer on site prefers to cancel early than to start with the expensive works in order to burn money unnecessarily due to the Corona crisis.

An official confirmation of the cancellation is to be made by the FIA and Formula 1 already this week.
